The Purpose:

This blog is to archive my journey through the technological universe! I am embarking on learning the most up-to-date technology for the purpose of using it in my future classroom. As a Master's student in Secondary English Education, I want to know all that I can about technology and maximizing its potential in my classroom. I am sure there will be some bumps in the road, but I am very excited and look forward to sharing with you the technological wisdom I (hopefully) acquire!

Google Doctastic!

I used Google Docs this morning for the first time, and, once again, Google impresses me. I had been wondering what Google Docs was for a while now, but I never took the time to research it much. I really see myself using it personally and professionally. The efficiency and organization of this program is awesome. I oftentimes end up saving my stuff in like 4 places, but I still have times that I cannot find what I am looking for, and Google Docs can help me a lot with that. Plus, for group work, which I do a lot of for the Education program here at UT, Google Docs can remedy all of the confusion that goes along with numerous emails. I am realizing more each week in this technology class that email is truly becoming obsolete...and I must admit I do not have a problem with that.
